Dr. Brent Unruh, DVM

Dr. Unruh grew up in Odessa, Texas where he was surrounded by animals throughout his childhood. He graduated with a bachelor’s in biology from The University of Texas at Dallas in 2014. In May of 2020, he graduated from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). Dr. Unruh practiced in East Texas for 2 years after graduating from Purdue and then moved back to Warsaw, IN to pursue practice ownership. While at Purdue Dr. Unruh developed interests in surgery, cardiology, and neurology.

Dr. Unruh is married to a fellow classmate and colleague, Dr. Brooke Unruh. They have an adorable 1 year old daughter named Emma Jean and have a second daughter arriving this Fall. In addition, they also have many furry companions that include 4 dogs and 2 cats. In his spare time Dr. Unruh enjoys playing his drums, guitar, woodworking and watching the Dallas Stars.

Dr. Brooke Unruh, DVM

Dr. Unruh grew up in Warsaw, IN where she always had a large variety of animals. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree (Animal Science) from Purdue University. She remained there for her advanced degree, graduating from Purdue University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020. Dr. Unruh practiced in Texas for 2 years prior to returning to her hometown with her family.

Dr. Unruh is married to a fellow classmate, and now business partner, Dr. Brent Unruh. They have 2 beautiful daughters together, along with several furry family members, consisting of 4 dogs and 2 cats. Dr. Unruh has interests in internal medicine, surgery, reproduction, and large animal medicine.

Dr. Richard Sommers, DVM

Fascinated by the animal world from his early days growing up with a collie and cats on a farm in LaPorte County, Indiana, Dr. Sommer initially dreamed of a career in podiatry. A life-changing chemistry class at Purdue steered him towards veterinary science, and the rest is history. With a sterling career spanning 52 years, he relishes the opportunity to combine his work with his faith. At home, Dr. Sommer keeps company with his collie, cats, and cows. He’s a dedicated family man, happily married to his lovely wife, Sharon, for 51 years. They’ve raised two extraordinary daughters, both Purdue graduates and are proud grandparents of four terrific grandsons. In his spare time, Dr. Sommer enjoys watching his grandkids’ sporting activities and showing them his farm animals.
